Firefighters First has teamed up with Midwest Loan Services to enhance our legendary service for our members with Mortgage and HELOC products. Through this partnership, Midwest will take on many of the servicing tasks that we currently handle. These tasks include:
- Processing monthly payments
- Processing tax and insurance payments (if applicable)
- Providing monthly statements and year-end tax forms
- Assisting with any loan questions

FAQs
All of your accounts will still be available in Firefighters First Online & Mobile Banking. To access your loan, log into our digital banking platform and select your loan. When you click on your loan, you will automatically log into Midwest’s website. This is where you will be able to make payments and utilize the robust tools and resources from within Midwest’s website.
You will still be able to make payments via any option you use today. Payments are accepted from within Online & Mobile Banking, over the phone, by stopping into one of our branches, or by mailing your payment along with the payment stub found at the bottom of your monthly statement. Midwest will also provide an automatic payment enrollment form.

Midwest's business hours are 5am - 5pm PST, Monday through Friday.
Yes, you will receive a new loan number. Midwest will send you documentation of the new loan number in a letter. Your new loan number can also be found on your monthly statement and within Midwest's website.
No, you will receive an additional statement from Midwest for the loan that they are servicing.
For 2024, you will receive two 1098s. One from the Credit Union, for the time we serviced your loan and one from Midwest.
For 2025 and beyond, Midwest will send your 1098.
Midwest does not offer payment coupon books, but a payment stub will be at the bottom of your monthly statement.

No, Firefighters First Credit Union still owns your loan. Midwest is solely a partner we are working with to enhance your experience.
No, the transfer of servicing does not affect any of the terms or conditions of the mortgage documents other than the terms directly related to the servicing of your loan.
Of course! Our RateDrop program will still be available for those eligible. Please contact Midwest directly if you are interested in the RateDrop program.

No, we will continue to service all commercial loans at this time.
Yes, Midwest will run an Escrow Analysis within 60 days after the loan is transferred.
Depending on the timing of the transfer, a second Escrow Analysis may be ran. Midwest is on a state schedule, whereas we were running the Escrow Analysis every January for the March payment. All escrowed loans will convert to Midwest’s state schedule.
With the state schedule, Midwest will run the Escrow Analysis during the same month every year depending on the state that the property is located. Below shows the timing of the analysis for every state.

If you currently have a checking account with the Credit Union, you will continue to receive monthly statements. However, if you only have a savings account, your statements will be sent on a quarterly basis after your loan has been moved to Midwest.
