How the Fire Family Foundation
Gives Back to the Fire Service Community
Fire service life brings unique challenges to firefighters and the people who love them. From virtual wellness sessions and relationship retreats to peer support and storytelling, every Foundation program is custom-built to help fire families feel supported, connected, and less alone.
Programs and Conversations That Strengthen the Fire Family
Firefighter Mental Health Support and Community Care
The emotional demands of emergency response work affect entire households, not just the firefighter.
Firefighters, spouses, partners, and children may all experience stress, emotional exhaustion, relationship strain, and the long-term impact of trauma exposure throughout different stages of fire service life.
If you or someone you know is struggling, you’re not alone. Call or text 988. It’s free, confidential, and available 24/7. You can also chat at 988lifeline.org.

Firefighter Benefits, Assistance, and Support for Families of Fallen Firefighters
When firefighters, spouses, partners, children, and loved ones experience hardship connected to injuries, medical emergencies, natural disasters, or other difficult circumstances, the Fire Family Foundation is there.
We provide emergency relief, scholarship opportunities, and financial assistance designed to help you regain stability and move forward with support from a community that understands.
Firefighters First covers all overhead expenses, so 100% of every donation goes directly to fire families. The Foundation also honors the memory of fallen firefighters and the brave families who carry their legacy forward.
Ways To Give:
