Opening a holiday helper account takes just a few minutes through Online Banking. Once open, set up automatic transfers or payroll deduction so saving happens without having to think about it.

Your savings earn dividends throughout the year. On November 15, the full balance transfers automatically to your Firefighters First checking or share account.

No minimums. Unlimited deposits.

There are no minimum deposit or balance requirements to open or maintain the account. Deposits are unlimited and you can contribute as much or as little as you want.

One important thing to know.

The holiday helper account does not allow partial withdrawals before November 15. If you need early access, the account closes and the full balance is deposited to your designated account. You may reopen after November 15.

What is the Holiday Helper savings account?

The Holiday Helper Savings Account is a dedicated savings account designed to help you build your holiday budget throughout the year. Your balance is held separately from your regular savings and transfers automatically to your checking or share account on or about November 15 each year.

Your full balance transfers automatically to your designated Firefighters First checking or share account on or about November 15 each year.

Can I use the funds for things other than holiday gifts?

Yes. There are no restrictions on how you use the funds once they are disbursed. Members use the account for gifts, holiday travel, year-end tax payments, family gatherings and a wide range of annual expenses.

Is there a minimum balance required?

No. There is no minimum deposit or balance requirement to open or maintain the account.

How do I contribute to the account?

You can fund the account through automatic transfers from your Firefighters First checking or savings account or through payroll deduction. You can also make deposits manually at any time.

Can I withdraw funds before November 15?

Partial withdrawals are not allowed. If you need access to your funds before November 15, the account will be closed and your full balance will be deposited to your designated account. You may reopen the account after November 15.

What happens after November 15?

The account renews automatically, so you are set up to begin saving for the following year without having to reopen the account.
