Community Help Programs That Provide Meaningful Support 

From Virtual Support Sessions and Couples Retreats to Peer Mentor Support for Spouses/Partners and the Prepare to Launch Youth Summit, every program responds to the real experiences firefighters and families navigate every day while helping people feel supported, understood, and less alone.

Virtual Support Sessions 

Free, live Zoom sessions for firefighters, spouses, partners, and families led by licensed therapists and fire family experts. Participants report feeling seen, heard, and deeply connected through supportive conversations focused on emotional wellness, relationships, and resilience.

A two-day weekend experience featuring guided workshops, expert speakers, and couple-focused activities designed to strengthen communication, rebuild connection, and support long-term resilience throughout fire family life. 

Peer Mentor Support for Spouses/Partners

Connect with trained fire family mentors for one-on-one guidance, peer support groups, and meaningful conversations with people who understand the realities of fire service life firsthand.

A weekend of learning, leadership, connection, and fun designed for fire family teens ages 13–17. Through hands-on workshops, team challenges, and shared experiences, participants build confidence, practical life skills, and financial knowledge.

The Fire Family Foundation takes a family-centered approach to community support programs by serving the entire fire family ecosystem, not only firefighters themselves. Community Assistance Programs Guided by Commitment and Care

The Fire Family Foundation builds community assistance programs around the specific realities firefighters and families experience every day. Shift work.

Trauma exposure. Stress. Family transitions. Career-related uncertainty. Programs are developed alongside licensed professionals, peer mentors, educators, and fire family advocates who understand those experiences firsthand. 

As the largest firefighter-specific nonprofit with nationwide scope, the Foundation continues expanding meaningful programs designed specifically for the fire service community while helping families feel more understood, connected, and supported through life’s most difficult seasons.
