How we protect you.

Use smart habits at the ATM to protect yourself and your information. Stay aware of your surroundings, secure your card and cash, shield your PIN, and take extra precautions in low-light or isolated areas to reduce the risk of theft or fraud.

Smart ATM habits.

  • Be aware of your surroundings before, during, and after ATM use, especially at night
  • If using an ATM at night, bring someone with you
  • For ATMs with door access, close the door fully and never let strangers in
  • At drive-up ATMs, keep your engine running, doors locked, and only the driver’s window open
  • Shield the keypad while entering your PIN
  • Secure your card, cash, and receipt immediately — do not count money at the ATM
  • Report suspicious activity to the ATM operator and local law enforcement
