Our Board and Council bring together fire service, finance, and community leaders who are dedicated to supporting firefighters and their families. 

The leadership team is guided by one mission: supporting the well-being of the fire family.

Through experienced leadership, community partnerships and long-term stewardship, the Foundation creates programs and outreach efforts that support firefighters, spouses, children and loved ones through every stage of fire service life.

Foundation Management and Governance 

The Fire Family Foundation structure is designed to support accountability, transparency and long-term stewardship across every program, outreach effort and community initiative serving the fire family. 

Board of Directors 

The Board of Directors provides fiduciary oversight, strategic direction and governance for the Foundation’s programs, charitable initiatives and long-term mission. Board leadership helps ensure Foundation resources continue supporting firefighters and families with accountability, compassion and care. 

Foundation Council 

The Foundation Council contributes professional expertise across law, finance, business and community advocacy. Council members help strengthen partnerships, strategic planning and outreach efforts that expand support for fire families and the broader fire service community. 

Staff & Programs

Benefits, Assistance, and Support for Families of Fallen Firefighters 

When firefighters, spouses, partners, children, and loved ones experience hardship connected to injuries, medical emergencies, natural disasters, or other difficult circumstances, the Fire Family Foundation is there.  

  • The Foundation honors the memory of fallen firefighters and the brave families who carry their legacy forward.
  • We provide emergency relief and financial assistance to help you regain stability and move forward with support from a community that understands.
  • Firefighters First covers all overhead expenses, so 100% of every donation goes directly to fire families.
