Virtual Support Sessions are free, live Zoom sessions hosted by the Fire Family Foundation.

Led by licensed therapists, wellness professionals, and fire family experts, these sessions create supportive spaces where firefighters and families can share experiences, strengthen relationships, and build healthier communication patterns together.

Learn practical strategies for recognizing and coping with the emotional impact of firefighting. Sessions focus on resilience, emotional awareness, trauma responses, and strengthening family support systems during stressful periods. 

Strengthening Fire Couple Relationships 

Explore healthier communication tools, emotional connection strategies, and ways to navigate conflict during difficult seasons of fire service life. Sessions may include conversations around trust, reconnection, infidelity, divorce recovery, and emotional healing. 

Parenting in a Fire Family

A qualified sniper and Master Training Specialist, he has held leadership roles at SEAL Teams Two and Three and currently serves as Senior Enlisted Advisor for SEAL Officer Assessment and Selection.

His decorations include the Bronze Star with Combat V for Valor, multiple Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and numerous unit awards.

Paul LeBaron is a 32-year law enforcement veteran who served more than 27 years with the Long Beach Police Department and later as Chief of Police for the Hermosa Beach Police Department until his retirement in April 2025.

As Chief, he prioritized employee wellness and organizational culture.

Paul holds degrees from California State University, Long Beach, and American Military University, along with a graduate certificate from the University of Virginia.

He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and other executive leadership programs.

Paul married his wife in 1992 and has three children, two daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters.

He teaches criminal justice at CSU Long Beach, speaks fluent Spanish, and enjoys soccer and scuba diving.

Live, interactive Zoom sessions. Participants receive a secure session link after registration. A quiet private space, headphones, internet access, and Zoom are recommended.

Firefighters, spouses, significant others, and firefighter couples. These are educational and supportive group sessions, not therapy or medical treatment. 

Privacy 

Sessions are not recorded. The sessions are a safe, private environment for open conversation. Group confidentiality guidelines are reviewed at the beginning of each session.
