The Fire Family Foundation Youth Summit is for teens aged 13–17 who want to develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need for the future.

Who can attend the Youth Summit?
The summit is designed for teens aged 13–17 from fire service families who want to build confidence, develop life skills, and connect with peers from the Fire Family community.
What topics will the summit cover?
Participants will explore a variety of topics, including leadership, career readiness, communication, decision-making, financial education programs for youth, and personal responsibility.
Is the summit focused only on financial education?
No. A financial literacy training program is an important part of the experience, but the event takes a more holistic approach, focusing on leadership development, life skills, confidence-building, teamwork, and peer connection.
What kinds of activities will be there?
The weekend combines interactive workshops and group discussions with fun activities such as team challenges, the Monterey Scavenger Hunt, Beach Olympics, and pool parties.
Will there be other teens from fire service families?
Yes. One of the most valuable parts of the summit is the opportunity to connect with other teens who understand the unique experiences of growing up in a fire service family.
What makes the Youth Summit different from a traditional classroom program?

All meals, lodging, activities, and educational sessions are included. The registration fee is $200, and upon successful completion of the summit, the full amount is deposited into the participant’s Firefighters First Credit Union savings account.

Yes. The summit is a weekend-long experience, and all lodging and meals are included for participants.
Can teens attend on their own?
Yes. The program is designed specifically for teens and is fully supervised by program staff and volunteers throughout the weekend.
Will there be opportunities to make new friends?
Yes. Through team activities, workshops, and social events, you’ll have many opportunities to connect with other teens from fire service families.
