John Cermak

John retired from the Alhambra Fire Department in 2014 after 27 years of service. He continued his career in the fire service for 10 more years working at North County Fire & EMS, in the State of Washington, and retired in 2025. John’s education includes a Master’s Degree of Science in Emergency Services and a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Vocational Studies. He considers his role as one of the most rewarding experiences as it enables him to provide for the financial wellness of firefighters across the nation.

The opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors remains an honor and a privilege. John has served on the Executive Committee as both the Secretary and Treasurer and continues to update his training by attending conferences pertinent to this mission. As a firefighter and past business owner, he brings a unique perspective to the organization and he looks forward to continuing to be an active participant in this humbling opportunity.
